About the Weather

Canmore is all about mountains, wilderness, and changeable weather; it is fairly sheltered and on average, in-town winter temperatures range from highs of 1ºC (32ºF) to lows of -8ºC (18ºF). Pleasant, warm Chinook winds often make for mild winters in the region, and both summer and winter weather can be found during a single week. In November, ski resorts will be open but probably making snow. For current conditions please check the Environment Canada website.
