The Institute for Scholarship of Teaching and Learning recently announced it has received a $1 Million gift from Nexen Inc (press release) to the newly named Nexen Scholars Program.

In November 2011 the Institute for Scholarship of Teaching and Learning announced the selection of the 2012 Nexen Scholars.

Keynote Presentations

We are pleased and honored to have four featured keynote speakers for the 2012 Symposium on Scholarship of Teaching and Learning.

Carol Geary Schneider Carol Geary Schneider, President of the Association of American Colleges and Universities (AAC&U), will speak at our Opening Banquet on Thursday night, November 8.
Jennifer Murphy Jennifer Murphy, Manager of the Irish National Academy for Integration of Research, Teaching and Learning (NAIRTL) will speak on Friday afternoon, November 9.
Carmen Werder Carmen Werder, Director of the Teaching-Learning Academy at Western Washington University, will join Erik Skogsberg and on the role of student voice in scholarship of teaching and learning on Saturday afternoon, November 10.
Erik Skogsberg Erik Skogsberg, a doctoral student in the College of Education at Michigan State University, will join Carmen Werder and speak about his experience as a an undergraduate and graduate student scholar of teaching and learning on Saturday afternoon, November 10.
